Purpose

The purpose of the Association is to improve and develop relationships among music educators in higher education to share ideas and programs, and to consider problems of mutual interest.  

Association Goals for 2009-2010  

To increase our constituency’s participation at the FCMEA Fall Conference on Saturday October 3, 2009, and the  Florida Music Educators Conference in January, 2010.


To develop relationships with elementary and secondary educators in an cooperative effort to enhance music teacher training in Florida.


To facilitate dialogue with national/international colleagues to exchange ideas and best practices in music education. 


Provide opportunities to disseminate music education research in the state of Florida

Mark your calendars and encourage your colleagues to attend.  Our goal is to have a representative from every post-secondary teacher training institution Florida in attendance at this year’s FMEA Conference Conference.
